One monster, several prints.

What makes a card variant?

A collectible print is not the same thing as a card. One Tetramon is one deck card, but the same monster ships as many prints.

Card Variant Guide

The same monster printed several ways. Compare the layouts side by side to tell a border apart from a finish.

  • Base

The standard frame every print set ships.

  • First Edition

    A distinct first-edition frame treatment.

  • Silver

    A metallic silver border frame.

  • Gold

    A metallic gold border frame.

  • EX

    The EX frame treatment.

  • Full Art

A special layout: the artwork fills the card instead of sitting in a framed window.

    Special layout

  • Foil

Foil is a finish, not a border. Any supported print can also exist as a foil print, and the foil shows as a reflective sheen over the card.

5 standard borders plus one special layout, each available normal and foil — 6 print/layout types × 2 finishes. Foil is a finish on top of a print, never a border of its own.

Every print belongs to a collection. Open one to see it on its own page.

Track your collection

This page stays a catalog: it never asks you to have a collection first. When you do track one, open prints here and mark them owned — the tracker and the missing finder do the heavy lifting.

Progress stays in this browser. Marking prints here updates the same collection the tracker reads.

Card variant questions

How many card variants are there in TCG Card Shop Simulator?
Version 1.0 ships 4,396 verified collectible prints across 4 collections, made of 6 print/layout types and 2 finishes. 121 of them are playable Tetramon prints and 20 are Ghost cards. Collection Hub
What is the difference between a border and a foil card?
They are two separate things. A border is how the card is framed — Base, First Edition, Silver, Gold, EX or the Full Art layout. Foil is a finish that can be applied to a print, so a Gold card and a Gold Foil card are the same border with a different finish.
What does a First Edition card look like?
First Edition has its own frame treatment, so it is recognisable next to Base. Open a card’s variant matrix and compare the two frames side by side. Open the variant guide
What is the difference between Gold and Gold Foil?
Gold is the border frame. Gold Foil is the same Gold border with the foil finish on top, which adds a reflective sheen. In the browser they are two cells in the same row of the matrix: normal and foil.
What is an EX card?
EX is one of the standard border treatments. It has its own frame, and like the other borders it can exist as a normal or a foil print.
What is a Full Art card?
Full Art is a special card layout rather than a standard border frame: the artwork fills the card instead of sitting inside a framed window. That is why it is listed separately from the standard borders.
How many variants does one Tetramon have?
A Tetramon that ships in the three print sets has 6 print types × 2 finishes in each set. Ghost cards are different: they are a separate small collection with their own print definition rather than a full matrix. See Pigni
Does every variant have its own page?
No. Prints are browsed and filtered here and on the card page, but the canonical entity stays the card. Quotes like “Pigni Gold Foil” are shared as filter links, not as thousands of thin pages.
