How Tetramon deck building works

A legal Tetramon deck is 50 cards and never more than 4 copies of the same Tetramon.

50-card deck

The game caps a deck at 50 cards. The builder counts every slot as you add cards and stays usable while you are over the limit, so you can edit and trim down.

4-copy limit per Tetramon

The limit applies to the named Tetramon, not to each collectible print. Base, foil, Gold and Ascension Full Art copies of the same card are added together before the limit is checked.

Opening hand and mulligan

Games start with a 5-card opening hand and one mulligan, so how many starters and cheap cards you run matters. The builder reports how many starters your deck contains instead of guessing a consistency score.

Evolution support

A card that evolves from another needs its earlier stage in the deck to be played. The builder flags an evolution stage whose verified previous stage is missing, and never calls it illegal.

Import and export

Copy your deck in the in-game Workbench and paste it here. Every line is resolved against the current Version 1.0 card data, and lines that cannot be read are listed with their line number instead of failing the whole import.

Export writes the same deck text back out, so a deck can travel game → website → game without losing which Tetramon it contains. Foil and border prints are a separate choice from deck legality, so the exporter uses one default print per card.

  1. 1.Open the Workbench in game and copy your deck.
  2. 2.Paste it into the builder and review the import result.
  3. 3.Edit, then check Legality, Evolution and Effects on the right.
  4. 4.Export and paste the deck text back into the game.

Common deck building questions

How many cards are in a Tetramon deck?

50. The game's maximum deck size is 50 cards, and the builder counts each slot as you add or remove cards.

Read the deck rules

How many copies of one card can I use?

Up to 4 copies of the same Tetramon. The limit is checked against the named card, so 4 is the maximum even if the copies come from different sets or finishes.

Do foil and Ascension versions count separately?

No. Base, foil, Gold and Ascension Full Art prints are all the same canonical Tetramon, so their copies are added together before the 4-copy limit is applied. That is why the builder shows one row per Tetramon instead of one row per print.

Where do I build a deck in the game?

Deck editing happens at the Workbench, which unlocks with shop progression. If it is not available yet, the unlock finder shows what your current shop level has opened.

Can I share a deck?

Yes. The builder creates a share link that carries the deck name and card counts, and the game itself supports copying a deck out and pasting it back in.

Why does my evolution line show a warning?

The builder found an evolution stage whose verified previous stage is absent or thinner than the stage it evolves from. That is a structure warning about how the deck plays, not a rule violation — the deck can still be legal.

See evolution chains

Does the builder rate my deck?

No. There is no verified win-rate or matchup data for these decks, so the builder reports evidence instead: card counts, copy-limit violations, evolution gaps, effect coverage and element distribution. Every number on the page can be traced back to the card data.
